In Detail

What each service covers

Scope is agreed in writing for every engagement. The lists below are what a typical engagement includes and where the limits sit.

Website Development

Business websites and landing pages

Give your business a credible, fast, and purposeful online home — a site that explains what you sell, makes it easy to enquire, and is straightforward to update.

Next.jsTailwind CSSMotion

Suited to

  • Small and mid-sized businesses that need a professional presence
  • Start-ups preparing to launch a product or service
  • Teams replacing an outdated or hard-to-maintain website

Typical deliverables

  • Responsive pages built from an agreed layout and section list
  • Basic on-page SEO foundations: titles, meta descriptions, structure
  • One agreed contact or enquiry method (form, mail link, or booking link)
  • Deployment assistance to the hosting or platform you already use
  • Two rounds of consolidated revision feedback

Scope limits

  • Copywriting is not included — content is supplied by the client unless agreed separately
  • Paid assets such as stock photography, fonts or plugins are billed at cost
  • Advanced integrations (CRM, ERP, custom APIs) are quoted separately
  • Ongoing changes after handover need a maintenance plan or a new request

Starting point: scope, deliverables and price are agreed in writing before work begins — see the pricing page for starting rates.

Custom Web Applications

Web applications and SaaS MVPs

Turn a manual or spreadsheet-driven process into a focused internal tool or customer-facing product, without paying for a full engineering organisation.

ReactTypeScriptPostgreSQLNode.js

Suited to

  • Teams whose internal workflow is slow, repetitive or error-prone
  • Start-ups that need a minimum viable product to test with real users
  • Operations teams that need a dashboard instead of a static report

Typical deliverables

  • Discovery notes covering users, core flows and data requirements
  • An agreed first release with the agreed core features
  • A typed, structured codebase with a documented setup path
  • Tested deployment to a staging environment before launch
  • Handover notes covering setup, environment variables and known limits

Scope limits

  • Scope is fixed at the first agreed release; extra features are a new estimate
  • Native mobile apps are out of scope — the deliverable is a responsive web app
  • Third-party API usage, seats and usage fees are billed by the provider, not by us
  • Long-term operation of the app requires a maintenance plan

Starting point: scope, deliverables and price are agreed in writing before work begins — see the pricing page for starting rates.

E-commerce Development

E-commerce websites

Sell directly online with a catalogue, a checkout people can complete, and stock that stays in step with what you actually have.

Shopify / HeadlessStripe APIMedusaJS

Suited to

  • Retailers moving from a marketplace to their own storefront
  • Brands with a catalogue that needs better presentation than a marketplace listing
  • Businesses that already have payment and shipping accounts in place

Typical deliverables

  • Product catalogue with agreed categories, filters and product pages
  • Cart and checkout flow built on the payment provider you choose
  • Agreed inventory and order handling setup
  • Responsive layouts for browse, cart and checkout
  • Deployment and handover, plus a plan for post-launch fixes

Scope limits

  • Payment processing, gateway and marketplace fees are charged by the provider
  • Tax calculation, shipping carriers and returns logic are agreed per project and are not standard
  • Subscription, instalment or multi-currency pricing logic is quoted separately
  • Inventory counts stay accurate only to the extent the source system is maintained

Starting point: scope, deliverables and price are agreed in writing before work begins — see the pricing page for starting rates.

AI Solutions & Automation

AI and workflow automation

Remove repetitive manual work — reading documents, routing enquiries, drafting first responses — with tooling that fits the way your team already works.

PythonLangChainVector DBsOllama

Suited to

  • Teams spending hours on repetitive, rule-based document handling
  • Operations that want a first-pass assistant rather than a full agent
  • Businesses that need AI assistance without sending sensitive data elsewhere

Typical deliverables

  • A written definition of the workflow to automate and the human checks to keep
  • A working prototype running against your own sample inputs
  • A prompt and configuration file you can review and adjust
  • Documentation covering what the system does, and what it must not do
  • A clear plan for reviewing output and handling failures

Scope limits

  • Model provider tokens and API usage are billed by the provider
  • Outputs are probabilistic and always need human review before they reach a customer
  • No accuracy, revenue or time-saving outcome can be guaranteed in advance
  • Automation of regulated decisions (hiring, credit, medical or legal) is out of scope

Starting point: scope, deliverables and price are agreed in writing before work begins — see the pricing page for starting rates.

Maintenance & Deployment

Website maintenance and improvements

Keep a live site secure, current and fast after launch, and improve it incrementally when the priorities change.

DockerAWS / VercelMonitoring

Suited to

  • Businesses that launched a site and need someone accountable for it
  • Teams without an in-house developer to handle updates and fixes
  • Owners planning a steady sequence of small improvements over time

Typical deliverables

  • Agreed monthly capacity for maintenance and agreed improvements
  • Dependency, security and performance checks within that capacity
  • Deployment and backup routines applied to the agreed environment
  • A short written summary of what was changed each month
  • Notice before any work that would exceed the agreed hours

Scope limits

  • Unused hours do not roll over — they expire at the end of the month
  • Major new features are out of scope and are quoted as separate work
  • Hosting, domains, email and third-party subscriptions are billed separately
  • Third-party platform changes outside the site's control can affect ongoing work

Starting point: scope, deliverables and price are agreed in writing before work begins — see the pricing page for starting rates.

Common Questions

Before you start

Answers to the questions that come up most often in a first conversation.

  • Which service is the right fit?

A landing page suits a single offer or campaign. A business website suits a company that needs several pages. A web application or AI automation suits an internal process that needs automating. Maintenance suits a site that is already live. If it is not obvious, we can work it out in a short conversation before anything is quoted.

  • Do you work with the content and brand we already have?

Yes. Content, logos and brand assets are normally supplied by the client, and the site is built around what exists. Writing or rewriting copy is quoted separately if you would like it handled as part of the project.

  • Can you deploy to hosting we already pay for?

Yes. Deployment assistance is part of every website package, normally onto hosting or a platform you already hold an account for. The hosting, domain and any platform subscription remain your own accounts and are billed to you by the provider.

  • How long will the project take?

Timelines are set once the scope is agreed, because scope, integrations and how ready your content is drive the schedule. Nothing is committed before that point, and the plan is written down before work starts.

  • Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

Yes. There are three monthly maintenance plans with defined hours for upkeep and agreed small improvements. Unused hours expire at the end of each month, so the plan can be matched to what the month actually needs.

  • Can you sign an NDA before we share details?

Yes. A non-disclosure agreement can be signed on request before any detailed brief, credentials or business information are shared.

  • What do you need from us to get started?

Access to the domain and hosting accounts, any brand assets and copy you already have, and someone who can answer questions and approve work as it progresses.

Every engagement is handled directly by the developer building it. There is no account layer between you and the work, and no fixed team behind the scenes — just one person accountable for the outcome.
